Funds have long fought fraudsters’ attempts at phishing, identity theft, romance scams, account takeovers, and more. ICI members have reported that fraud has increased significantly and that the methods for perpetrating fraud continue to evolve. ICI plays a critical role supporting members’ fraud prevention efforts on several fronts, including work from its Fraud Prevention Working Group.
