The Investment Company Institute notes with deep sadness the death of Charles A. Fiumefreddo, retired chairman and CEO of the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Advisors Group of Funds, on December 29. A strong advocate for the development of the broker-dealer distribution channel for mutual funds, Fiumefreddo served as a member of the ICI Board of Governors from 1979 to 1992, including 18 years on the Executive Committee and two years as chair of the Audit Committee. The Institute extends deep sympathy to Charles’s family and colleagues.
