A framework to standardize diversity and inclusion (D&I) questions for RFP processes; increasing transparency and disclosure of D&I data among the regulated funds industry.
The Investment Company Institute (ICI) is pleased to introduce the 2023 D&I RFP Framework (the “Framework”). First published in 2022, the Framework standardizes diversity and inclusion (D&I) questions for RFP processes, thereby increasing transparency and disclosure of D&I data among the regulated funds industry. The use of this Framework also facilitates greater accountability and tracking of D&I efforts by setting a benchmark for participants.
The Framework was developed in partnership with various D&I specialists, legal and business representatives from member firms, and ICI staff. It builds on existing initiatives such as ShareAction’s Workforce Disclosure Initiative, the Asset Owner Diversity Charter, and the CFA Institute’s DEI Code, as well as data from ICI’s 2022 US Asset Industry Management Diversity & Inclusion Survey.
