IRA Research and Policy Summit
Wednesday, May 11, 2011
David Silver Conference Room at the Investment Company Institute
1401 H Street, NW, Washington, DC
With $4.7 trillion in assets at year-end 2010, individual retirement accounts (IRAs) constitute more than one-quarter of the U.S. retirement market. This one-day meeting provided: (1) a benchmark of what we know about IRAs; (2) an overview of the regulatory framework governing IRAs and the financial services firms working with IRA investors; and (3) insight into IRA investors and the financial services they need and are obtaining. In addition, panelists and attendees considered the key challenges facing IRA investors and financial services providers.
