SEC Announces Second Meeting of Advisory Committee on Market Information
Washington, DC, November 29, 2000 - The SEC announced that the second meeting of the Advisory Committee on Market Information will be held on December 14, 2000 at the SEC’s main offices. The purpose of the meeting, which will be open to the public, is to discuss appropriate models for consolidating and disseminating market information as well as other issues relating to the availability of market information in the equities and options markets.
The SEC established the Advisory Committee in July 2000 to examine issues in connection with the public availability of market information. The Committee held its first meeting in October 2000.
