Year 2000 Investor KitThe securities industry is coordinating efforts on Year 2000 readiness in order to protect investors. This joint effort includes the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Securities Industry Association (SIA), and major markets and exchanges. We have joined forces to ensure a smooth transition to 2000. As part of this effort, we have developed this Investor Kit and other materials. The securities industry expects 2000 to be "business as usual," and, as always, is working to keep your investments safe. This Year 2000 Investor Kit is meant to help educate you about this issue, and describes some things you as an investor can do to be ready for the Year 2000, too. If, after reading these materials, you have further questions about the Year 2000 and the securities industry and/or would like more information, please contact: the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Office of Investor Education and Assistance: (800) SEC-0330, www.sec.gov; the Securities Industry Association (SIA): (212) 608-1500, www.sia.com, or e-mail: info@sia.com.; the Investment Company Institute (ICI): (202) 326-5800, www.ici.org; or the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD): (888) 227-1330, www.nasd.com, www.nasdr.com, or e-mail: y2k@nasd.com. Hard copies of the Year 2000 Investor Kit are available from NASD MediaSource.
