SEC Allows Certain UITs in Mutual Fund Quotation Service

Washington, DC, January 9, 2001 - The Securities and Exchange Commission has granted accelerated approval of a proposed rule change that will permit the inclusion of certain UITs in Nasdaq's Mutual Fund Quotation Service. In connection with its approval, the proposal was amended to correct certain technical inaccuracies regarding UITs. Nasdaq issued a vendor alert announcing that it will accept listing applications from UITs beginning on January 16, 2001.
