Ari Burstein

Ari Burstein is the Senior Counsel for capital markets issues for the Investment Company Institute and ICI Global. In his role as senior counsel, Burstein is responsible for regulatory and policy issues impacting investment companies and investment advisers, particularly trading, market structure, and brokerage-related issues across the equities, fixed-income, and derivatives markets—in the U.S. and globally. Burstein joined ICI in 1998 and has been providing additional counsel to ICI Global since its inception in 2011. Prior to joining the Institute, Burstein was an attorney in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Investment Management from 1997 to 1998 and the Division of Market Regulation from 1992 to 1997. Burstein graduated from The George Washington University National Law Center and his undergraduate degree is from Queens College. Burstein also attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. |
