Downlink Sites for National Investors' Town Meeting on April 4, 1998Washington, DC, March 27, 1998 - The SEC reports that the following cities will host downlink sites for the National Investors' Town Meeting on Saving and Investing on Saturday, April 4, from 1 pm to 3 pm (EST). SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt will host a panel of regulators and investment experts from across the U.S. to discuss the importance of investor education and answer investors' questions. Questions will be taken both from the live audience in Washington, DC and as call-ins from the downlink sites. The audio portion of the town meeting will be broadcast live on the internet at www.investoreducation.org and will be available in Spanish at the sites indicated by an asterisk below. The Town Meeting will conclude the week-long kickoff of the national Facts on Saving and Investing Campaign, an unprecedented grassroots effort launched by a coalition of government agencies, business, and consumer organizations to motivate Americans to "get the facts" they need to save and invest wisely.
