ICI Webinar on the Implications for U.S. Mutual Funds of the FCPA and the UK Bribery Law
June 21, 2011
As you may recall, on April 12, ICI conducted a webinar on “The Implication for U.S. Mutual Funds of the FCPA and the UK Bribery Law.” This webinar was to provide members an overview of these laws in light of the SEC becoming more focused on enforcing the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the more global nature of our members’ businesses, and the recent enactment of the UK Bribery Law. Members who participated in the webinar expressed interest in the Institute holding another webinar that would delve deeper into these laws and their impact on mutual funds. In response to this request, the Institute is hosting Part 2 of the April webinar, which will explore these laws in more detail and provide practical advice for complying with them.
The Part 2 webinar took place on Tuesday, June 21, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. (Eastern). Like Part 1, this webinar featured Jim Davis, Director of Global Compliance for Franklin Templeton, and Robert J. Meyer of Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
